Dim Mak (NJ) Announces New Album "The Emergence Of Reptilian Altars," New Vocalist; Album Art Posted

[center] [/center] Willowtip recording artists Dim Mak, which extreme thrash and death metal historians know as the continuation of legendary death thrash outfit Ripping Corpse, have posted a slew of updates regarding their status and upcoming full-length. In addition to having launched a fresh Myspace layout, the band's new album, "Emergence Of Reptilian Altars," features stunning artwork by Alex Eckman-Lawn. Guitarist Shaune Kelley (who toured extensively with Hate Eternal last year) also reports that founding Dim Mak frontman has stepped down, and since been replaced by longtime friend Joseph Capizzi. [center] [/center] "Unseen", the seventh studio album from Swedish metallers The Haunted, will be released on March 22 (one day earlier internationally) via Century Media Records. The CD was once again recorded with longtime producer Tue Madsen (Moonspell, Dark Tranquillity, Gorefest, Sick Of It All) at his Antfarm Studio in Ã…rhus, Denmark.

[center] [/center] End of a Year will be playing Louisville, KY's Krazy Fest Friday May 20th alongside such notables as Tigers Jaw, Bane, and Against Me! Be there or be square. The band has just returned from a weekend at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica. Tuff Gong is known the world over as the studio founded by Bob Marley and the site he recorded many of his most famous tracks. "We like reggae and we like music history and it beats the shit out of going to one of the same five studios every band in the US insists on using," explains Patrick Kindlon, EOAY's vocalist.

Bad Brains (DC) Begins Work On New Album; Prepares For SXSW

[center] [/center] The iconic punk band Bad Brains will make an appearance for the first time in the band's career at South By Southwest (SXSW) 2011 at Van's Showcase at Emo's Main Room on March 16. Bassist Darryl Jenifer comments on the forthcoming experience: "There should be a SXSW in every city, every day. Austin is a great music town with positive vibes." The band is also pleased to announce that it has recently been holed up in New York with all original members working on new material for a 2011 release.
