Cataract (CH) Finish Recording New Full-Length For Metal Blade

[center] [/center] Swiss thrashers Cataract have finished recording their new album, "Killing The Eternal", at Antfarm studios in Aarhus, Denmark with longtime producer Tue Madsen. A September 27 European release (three days earlier in Germany) via Metal Blade Records is expected. Commented singer Federico "Fedi" Carminitana: "We're more than happy to announce that after almost one incredible month at the Antfarm studio in Denmark, our next full-length is finally ready! Recording, mixing and mastering is done and we can't wait for the record to be released!

[center] [/center] Montreal sludge hardcore masters, Here Comes The Hurricane, have set July 6th as the digital release date via iTunes for their debut full-length, "Charming Disaster." [center] [/center] The album was recorded by Antoine Lussier (Emmure), and features special guest vocal appearances from members of Ion Dissonance and Despised Icon. The album follows the band's 2009 Summer Demo Sampler, which received praise across the province of Quebec and abroad.

[center] [/center] The most controversial heavy hardcore quintet to emerge from British Columbia in years, Doom Cannon, will embark on the "Are You Offended Yet?" tour this August with the original Ontario-based Liferuiner. Doom Cannon will be supporting their latest EP, for which tracks can be heard by visiting the band's Myspace page. The release has received both praise and controversy for the band's seeming fearlessness in the face of a heavily-scrutinizing hardcore scene. Ligeia (MA) Reunite Following Breakup Last Year; Currently In Writing Mode & Seeking New Label

[center] [/center] Boston metalcore band and party monsters Ligeia have announced their reformation via their Myspace page. Prior to breaking up, the band had released two albums with Ferret Music. Vocalist Keith Holuk comments: "Ryan [Ober, guitars] and I have been writing for the last two months and the writing process has been going better than we could have ever imagined! With the songs we've written so far, we truly believe fans of both 'Your Ghost is a Gift' and 'Bad News' will pleasantly impressed as well as satisfied with the work we have done."
