Ah the best way to spend a shitty, cold and rainy night is to be indoors at a kickass Heavy Metal show! Again Montreal being the great concert city it is we had a choice…Usher at the Bell Centre or Chimaira at Club Soda! So I embarked on another Heavy Metal adventure courtesy of Hardtimes.ca, there were no sexy songs played at Club Soda on Tuesday evening just pure fucking crowd-jumping metal!

Early Tuesday morning we had a little thunderstorm…actually it was the demonic sound of Ozzy Osbourne’s airplane touching ground at the airport! The heavens erupted in fury when the Prince of Darkness set foot in Montreal! Later on that evening at the Bell Centre we were graced with performances by Heavy Metal royalty when Rob Halford and Ozzy Osbourne rocked Montreal. Ozzy and Halford did so much for Heavy Metal I can’t image what metal would be like today without these two legendary performers. Black Sabbath was the first wave a true Heavy Metal and Judas Priest was part of the second wave of metal-bands charging forward on the Power-Metal/NWOBHM surge.

Montreal is an absolutely wonderful city we’re spoiled rotten year round with many wonderful concerts. Some nights we even have multiple choices! Like on Monday evening I had the choice of attending either the Justin Bieber suck-fest at the Bell Centre or Bonded By Blood, Gama Bomb, Evile and Forbidden at Foufounes Electriques.

I’m fanatically dedicated to the TV shows Dexter and The Walking Dead! The only thing that could possibly make me miss episodes of these shows would be a power outage, an actual zombie apocalypse or a heavy metal show! So I sacrificed blood and guts laden TV programming for sweaty metal-heads and live music on Sunday night! Firewind brought their “Days of Defiance” North American tour to Foufounes Electriques to entertain Montreal. That was good enough reason to miss episodes of my favorite shows!
