Ontario metalcore shooting stars Counterparts recently posted the following blog entry on their Myspace page, where they address having signed with Verona Records, and their record release show tonight, February 26th with support from Ontario's I Am Committing A Sin, Ontario's Structures, and more. Hey everyone, it's been a while since we've let you guys know whats going on with Counterparts, and we have a few major announcements to make:

1. As you guys know, we've had our full length album Prophets recorded for a few months now, and now we finally have a release date. The album will be available for purchase on February 23rd, and you will be able to buy it at HMVs and other CD retail outlets, iTunes, and at our shows.

2. In addition to the release of our album, we will be having a hometown CD release show at The Casbah on February 26th. The show will start at 5:30 and you do NOT want to miss any of the bands playing. The show will be $10 in advance, and $12 at the door. AND, if you present your advance ticket at the door/at our merch table, you will be able to purchase our CD for $5 (50% off!) We are also planning on doing a quick Ontario tour to promote our album too, so be sure to check when we’re near your city. We also have another East Coast Canada tour in the works, and hopefully we can break into some new territory very soon.

3. Finally, the most important news of all. Not only will our album be released February 23rd, it will be released through Verona Records. For those of you who do not know, Verona is a record label run by Shane Told of Silverstein. We want to say thank you to Shane, Split The Atom Management, and everyone involved in getting us the recognition to help get us signed. We love you all.
