Please Boycott The Dakota Films' New Randy Rhodes Documentary For Not Using Original Tracks

white-wizzard_logo.jpg

It has come to my attention from a good source, that the upcoming documentary on Randy Rhoads by Dakota Films, is planning on NOT using the original tracks recorded with Bob Daisley on bass and Lee Kerslake on drums. Instead, they will be using the counterfeit versions with Rob Trujillo on bass and Mike Bordin on drums.

This is an absolute disrespect of Randy's musical history and a complete bunch of garbage.

For those of you unfamiliar, Sharon Osbourne had the bass and drum tracks re recorded a few years ago under the radar to avoid having to pay royalties to Bob and Lee.

She just re-released the albums as "remasters" and passed them off as real deal.

Well, the tour is now over - it was so much fun and went by very fast. So for your convenience, here's a recap of the last few days...

The Puppet Governments In Native Reserves

andygross.jpg
From the Montreal Gazette,February 12, 2010

It's a little chilling to read, in 2010, of a community expelling certain people in effort to protect its bloodline from dilution. It smacks of the kind of odious race theories that most of thought had been consigned to the dustbin of history.

And yet Joe Delaronde had both Canadian law and Canadian custom on his side when he used just that reason to explain why the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake had decided to evict 25 non-Mohawks from the reserve, just across the river from Montreal. He also had a point. "We're very concerned about protecting our identity," he told The Gazette's Hubert Bauch, "because, at a certain point, the Canadian government will come along and say, 'You're not even Indian.'"

Studio Blog Part 4 - The Final Chapter

finalmixparty2.jpg
The last week of recording was a mixture of odds, ends, patch ups and add-ons. It is in the final week, always, when no matter how much time you think you have during the sessions to complete the album you want, the deadline crunch approaches and you always, always, always need more time. This turn around was no different. We redid vocals, we added vocals, had a few more guest vocals (Erik Rutan's amazing lines on "the Illuminaught" arrived on the last day), Sparky added a solo to the title track "Heirs to Thievery," and we contemplated various mix incarnations into the wee hours of each morning.

Being on tour in Europe for the Super Bowl usually means you miss the game and find out the score the next day. That will not be the case this year!Somehow we managed to find a Hooter`s near Saarbrucken, Germany that`s broadcasting the game live!!

We have a headline show tonight with Bleeding Through and as soon as the trailer door is locked we`re all going to head over to Hooter`s for the 12:25 a.m.(Monday morning) start of Super Bowl!
