Well, the tour is now over - it was so much fun and went by very fast. So for your convenience, here's a recap of the last few days...
The drive from Edmonton to Vancouver was pretty long but ultra scenic. We went through Jasper National Park and saw all kinds of cool wildlife and huge mountains on the way which was a real bonus. Also managed to stop at some little place in the middle of nowhere and get some KILLER food! Vancouver was awesome - sold out show, somewhere around 1,000 people and we went over great. The next day, we had a quick drive down to Seattle where we had another really good gig. Full house, some nice mosh pits during our set, etc. I watched Arch Enemy from the side of the stage again this night - they are an incredible live band! Next day was a day off...Nat and I got some of the best Thai food I've ever had at some place outside Seattle....the portions were huge but I forced it all down. Good times.
San Francisco - always a fun place to play. Very big/nice venue and the crowd was great. Next day was L.A. and that was fun too. Always a little weird playing there since half the crowd consists of industry people and people from other bands....it's almost like playing a showcase in a way. But the show was actually pretty good and there was some serious chaos down in the crowd during Diamond for Disease and Face of My Innocence. Yeah!
Next day we hung out with our good friends at Nuclear Blast and they took us out to lunch for some great Mexican food - thanks Gerardo!! And that's it.... On behalf of Arsis I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Arch Enemy for the incredible opportunity. This was easily the best and most enjoyable tour Arsis has ever been a part of. Arch Enemy is an inspiration all the way, great musicians and great people. Also thanks to Exodus, Mutiny Within, and all the metal fans who came out and rocked hard during the shows! See ya...
